COSMO - Inauguration of the Science Forum in the Dresden Kulturpalast

COSMO - The Science Forum at the Dresden Kulturpalast is now open to the public. COSMO – stands for COllaborative Science MOments  („gemeinsame Wissenschaftsmomente“). Several scientific disciplines are working together to create moments where people from all walks of life can experience research up close.

COSMO  is about tangible science, right at the heart of the historic city center, all under the roof of the Kulturpalast. All visitors will have the opportunity to discover alternating topics in this space, to try them out and to discuss them directly with scientists.

The project is run by the Barkhausen Institut gGmbH and the Department for Speculative Transformation of TU Dresden in cooperation with partners of the DRESDEN-concept Science Alliance, the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra and the Central Library.

COSMO was opened on September 28, 2022 with about 70 guests in attendance. From October 4, you can visit the Science Forum from Tuesday through Thursday from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Visitors will find an interactive IoT (Internet of Things) panorama showing the world of connected devices, the Urban Mobility exhibition where they can get a glimpse into a climate-neutral Dresden in 2035, a air field hockey robot to play against, and a patchCROP - farming simulator.
