Silicon Saxony Days
The Barkhausen Institut (BI) was represented at the Silicon Saxony Days 2026 with several contributions. The focus was on the application for the planned national competence center for chip design as well as current research work from the SEMECO Future Cluster.
At the joint SEMECO booth, the BI presented several demonstrators on current research work. The focus was on privacy-compliant machine learning as well as hardware-software platforms for modern radio and sensor technologies.
BI-researchers Dr. Maryam Zarezadeh and Dr. Padmanava Sen complemented the program with technical presentations on Privacy-Preserving Machine Learning and RF hardware-software platforms from Saxony.
At the SEMECO Talk, Prof. Dr. Gerhard Fettweis, Scientific Director of the BI, together with SEMECO Cluster Spokesperson Prof. Dr. med. Jochen Hampe, discussed the importance of microelectronics for the medicine of the future and the transfer of research results into practical applications.
