New Window Design for Labs and Workshops
Openness Outside, Focus Inside
Transparency is an important aspect of our work and also a challenge when it comes to architecture. The large glass fronts of our laboratories and workshops in the Annenhöfe, including the Connected Robotics Lab (CoRoLa), allow for daylight and visual openness.
Inside, we develop trustworthy platform chips, design test environments for research projects, and build interactive demonstrators - work that requires concentration and a quiet atmosphere.
A custom-designed window film now provides both privacy and a visual link to the BI’s visual style. It makes the labs more visible from the outside while reducing distractions - a subtle sign that future technologies are being developed here.
