A day full of questions and conversations
On September 6, the Barkhausen Institut (BI) joined Dresden's Open Government District at the Saxon State Ministry for Science, Culture and Tourism.
There was plenty to see, try, and talk about at the booth. Colleagues from BI's Connected Robotics Lab and the Public Outreach team introduced the exhibit on secure connected medical technology, answered questions, and spoke with visitors of all ages.
The conversations went beyond the technical details. Many visitors shared their own questions and thoughts about how connected medical technology could work in everyday life and what it takes to make these systems safe. Among the visitors to our booth were Saxony’s Minister of Science Sebastian Gemkow and State Secretary Prof. Dr. Heike Graßmann, who took a closer look at our exhibit.

The exhibit was developed as part of the SEMECO research project, in which the Barkhausen Institut is working on secure and trustworthy solutions for connected medical technology.
