Barkhausen Institut at Chipdesign Germany Forum 2026

The BI research group Scalable Computing Hardware once again took part in the Chipdesign Germany Forum 2026 in Dresden. The event brings together experts from research, development, and industry and provides an important platform for exchanging ideas on current topics in chip design.

For the Barkhausen Institut, the forum offered an opportunity to place its work on trustworthy hardware in a broader professional context. One example is the Masur chip series, which is used at the institute to develop and test secure hardware architectures.

At the center of this effort is the platform chip, which serves as a trustworthy research environment for interested partner institutions. It enables them to test their own chip designs under controlled conditions and creates starting points for further research collaborations.
