October 8 – Special Ride on the DRESDEN-concept Science Tram: Data Privacy, Internet of Things, and Computer Games
“You agree to the general data protection regulations by checking this box.” - How often do we feel uneasy when faced with this message, yet still click “accept”? What actually happens when we do so? Which personal data are stored and shared with other services? Although the General Data Protection Regulation provides more security, questions remain: How do intelligent information systems use this data? Data also play a central role in developing computer games and the tactile internet. Even more realistic worlds are emerging — soon we will not only see but also feel digital objects. Today’s world is rapidly transforming into an almost incomprehensible world of tomorrow. Researchers are exploring and shaping this future. During the next special ride of the DRESDEN-concept Science Tram, they will offer insights into their current research. Join the DRESDEN-concept Science Tram on October 8, 2019 at 5 p.m. (departure: Straßburger Platz, stop of line 10 toward Messe) and discuss with scientists from the Barkhausen Institute, the Center for Tactile Internet, the Center for Advancing Electronics, and the Technische Sammlungen Dresden.
More information about the experts is available on the DRESDEN-concept website.
Participation is free of charge; due to limited space, please reserve a ticket at: https://datatram.eventbrite.de
