How can robots protect our environment?

On June 16, 2023 at 6 p.m., a Science Café on the topic "How can robots protect our environment?" will be organized at the COSMO Science Forum at Kulturpalast Dresden.

What role do robots play in environmental protection? Can robots assist in the maintenance of parks in our cities? What do representatives of engineering, gardening and ecological spatial development have to say about this? At the Science Café on the national “Digital Day”, guests can join in the discussion on these questions with a drink and in a relaxed atmosphere.

Our guests are:

  • Dipl.-Ing. Markus Böhme, Connected Robotics Lab, Barkhausen Institut
  • Ing. (M. Sc.) Marek Holováč, Chair of Industrial Design Engineering, Technische Universität Dresden
  • Dipl.-Forstwirt Jan Weber, State Palaces, Castles and Gardens of Saxony gGmbH
  • Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Wende, Head of the Research Department Landscape, Ecosystems and Biodiversity, Leibniz Institute for Ecological and Spatial Development

A cooperation of the City Libraries Dresden and the COSMO Science Forum.

The event will be held in German.
