Hochfrequenz­schaltungen

Wir arbeiten in der Hochfrequenzschaltungen-Forschung/Entwicklung zuverlässiger IoT-Systeme mit Fokus auf die drei Schlüsselthemen: ein gemeinsames Radarkommunikationssystem, ein Antennensystem-Design mit Meta-Oberfläche und Physical Layer Security. Wir konzentrieren unsere Forschung vor allem auf das Design von Bausteinen und die Identifizierung kritischer Hardwareparameter für Systeme und Anwendungen der nächsten Generation. Nach ersten Recherchen zu neuartigen RF/mmWave-Hardwarekonzepten integrieren wir diese in Proof-of-Concept-Demo-Plattformen. Die Implementierungen reichen von siliziumbasierten ICs bis hin zu mmWave-Modulen. Für siliziumbasierte ICs verwenden wir die 22nm FDSOI-Plattform von GlobalFoundries.

Wir kooperieren und optimieren Systemkonzepte mit der Wireless Connectivity Group unter Berücksichtigung von Hardware-Implementierungsszenarien. Gleichzeitig validieren und integrieren wir kritische Komponenten in Hardwareplattformen in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Robotics Lab.

Für kombiniertes Radar- und Kommunikationssystem sind unsere aktuellen Forschungsthemen die analoge Implementierung von Bausteinen in der Transceiverkette zur Reduzierung des Leistungsbedarfs der Analog-Digital-Wandlung (ADC und DAC) und des Gesamtsystems. Wir integrieren auch Hardware-Simulationsergebnisse in die Systementwicklung. Die Demonstration betreffend, arbeiten wir in einer modularen Plattform, um Kommunikationsalgorithmen zu testen und unser erstes RadCom-Forschungskonzept der Öffentlichkeit vorzustellen.

Für Multi-Konnektivitätslösungen haben wir unsere Forschung an Hardware-Implementierungsideen für Strahlabtastung und Strahlsteuerung in einer Multi-Antennen-Umgebung begonnen.

Im Bereich der Sicherheit auf der physikalischen Schicht bieten wir der WiCon-Gruppe die Hardware-Unterstützung wie z.B. Messplattformen oder die Einbeziehung von Hardware-Ungenauigkeiten in die Algorithmenentwicklung.
