Unser Ziel

Wir arbeiten an der Entwicklung von zuverlässiger drahtloser Kommunikation für das Internet der Dinge, die sicher, zuverlässig und widerstandsfähig ist. Gleichzeitig erfüllt sie die anwendungsspezifischen Anforderungen, wie beispielsweise eine geringe Latenz. Unter den vielen technischen Möglichkeiten zur Umsetzung dieser Ziele, liegt unser Hauptaugenmerk auf Multikonnektivität, Physical Layer Security und der Kombination von Radar und Kommunikation. Während wir uns auf mathematische Analyse und Simulation fokussieren, möchten wir auch neue Methoden entwickeln, die im realen Leben demonstriert werden können. Dazu spezifizieren wir Algorithmen, die vom Lab-Team des BI implementiert werden und kooperieren mit anderen Gruppen am BI, um ebenso Hardware- und Systemanforderungen miteinzubeziehen.

Bezüglich der Sicherheit auf der physikalischen Schicht untersuchen wir neue Methoden, die es uns ermöglichen, einige der Herausforderungen dieser Technik zu überwinden. Dazu zählt insbesondere, dass wir die Generierung längerer und damit sichererer Schlüssel für die Datenverschlüsselung unter realistischen Ausbreitungsbedingungen ermöglichen.

In der Funkkommunikation-Gruppe untersuchen wir für Radar und Kommunikation neue Wellenformen und die entsprechenden Verfahren zur Signalverarbeitung, die sich effizient und kostengünstig für beide Zwecke einsetzen lassen.

Für Multikonnektivität untersuchen wir neue Wellenformen und die entsprechenden Verfahren zur Signalverarbeitung, die sich effizient und kostengünstig für beide Zwecke einsetzen lassen. Gleichzeitig betrachten wir Hardware-Implementierungsszenarien für die entworfenen Systeme und berücksichtigen Hardware-Ungenauigkeiten bei der Algorithmenentwicklung.
