The Barkhausen Institut is member of the DRESDEN-concept alliance. DRESDEN-concept is an alliance of the TU Dresden and research institutions from the world of science and culture, resulting in the ideal way to communicate the excellence of research in Dresden. In particular, the co-operation of all DD-concept partners is aimed at the development and use of synergies in research, education, infrastructure, and administration. The 28 partners co-ordinate strategies to support Dresden’s leading areas and work on a joint initiative to attract top talents to Dresden.
Silicon Saxony e. V. is Europe’s most successful trade association for the micro- and nanoelectronic, smart system, application and energy system industries. It connects 300 manufacturers, suppliers, research institutes, universities and public institutions in a network. The Barkhausen Institut is member of this continuously growing and vital hightech network.
On the initiative of the digital association Bitkom, the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy (BMWi) has appointed 12 excellence locations throughout Germany as Digital Innovation Hubs (de:hub). As part of this initiative, the Smart Systems Hub (SSH) Dresden has been directly involved in digitization "Made in Germany" since 2017. In the middle of the microelectronics heart of Europe, the SSH unites the comprehensive Saxon expertise in the key areas of hardware, software and connectivity in a network of over 450 partners. This way, the best conditions for applicable IoT system solutions from one source and for companies of all sizes are created.
